Statement of Faith
What we believe, in 18 articles.
1. The Scriptures
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, in their original writing, to be fully inspired of God, and accept them as the supreme and final authority for faith and life.
2. The Triune God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
3. Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.
4. Humanity & the Fall
We believe that humanity was made in the image of God; that through sin, death entered the world; and that all inherit a sinful nature resulting in personal guilt.
5. Biblical Sexual Morality
We affirm heterosexual relationships between a natural man and a natural woman within the confines of lawful matrimony, in line with the Colorado Statement on Biblical Sexual Morality (2003).
6. Justification by Faith
We believe that Christ's substitutionary death justifies the believer through faith in His blood.
7. Resurrection & Ascension
We believe that Christ rose bodily from the dead, ascended to Heaven, and serves there as our High Priest and Advocate.
8. The Return of Christ
We believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
9. Regeneration
We believe that repentant believers who receive Christ experience spiritual rebirth through the Holy Spirit.
10. Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit with supernatural gifts, and affirm the five ministry offices: Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher.
11. Submission to Authority
We believe that submission to spiritual authority is required for church membership and governance.
12. The Final Judgment
We believe in the resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous, followed by eternal salvation or eternal banishment.
13. The Church
We believe that the true Church comprises all redeemed and Spirit-regenerated people; membership of a local church requires new birth and the confession of Christ.
14. The Ordinances
We observe two ordinances: water baptism by immersion, and the Lord's Supper, as commemorative symbols.
15. Divine Healing
We believe that divine healing is part of the Gospel message.
16. Sanctification
We believe that sanctification is a definite, yet progressive work of grace, beginning at conversion.
17. Church Discipline
We believe that church leadership may revoke membership for serious, unrepentant misconduct.
18. Openness to Truth
We remain open to further scriptural truths as they are revealed by the Holy Spirit.
